The Big Maldon Draw

Si started the day at parkrun where I did my favourite role  ... First-timers welcome.  Several tourists joined the welcome including a chap from Exeter. They were all a lovely bunch. Before long it was time to set off. My watch played up so I paused to resolve the issue, then headed off at a 32 min pace. In a couple of weeks I have signed up as a 32 minute pacer, and I hope to be able to run it in that time. I did not take into account the heat. Too hot to run fast. That added to the fact that my watch was faulty meant that I had no chance of running a 32 minute pace. I hit a wall after 3.5k and had to slow down. 

We went for breakfast at Sophie's  ... Good as usual.  Then home before heading off to the Prom for the Big Maldon Draw.  I focused on painting a tree and managed to achieve the size and angle of it. There was a good deal of discussion about Wednesday's trip to Beeleigh.  The new owner has set a minimum of 30 people. We are unlikely to get that many artists.
