Something of nothing
It's been a nothing kind of day. Had a lie in which was much needed. Probably the first day in 6 weeks we had no plans and nothing came up in terms of urgency to do. Probably good really, it was too hot to move.
The Bo wanted to go to the sports shop so at midday (!) we got into the world's hottest car to go one junction up the motorway to establish they didn't have the boots he wanted in his size. Back home to order them online. Sigh.
Then an afternoon of life admin...a few bits to sort online for The Bo inclduing finalising his D of E stuff, hopefully it's nearly all done now. Then watched the tennis final while trying to see if 20 years of shredding would break the shredder. It had some moments where it overheated and needed to pause, as did I, but it came through remarkably well in the end - much like Sinner as the tennis victor.
The Bo disappeared off and I was feeling listless as we hadn;t done much alll day. The wife suggested an evening stroll on the beach (with permission to bring my camera). There's a reason I married her. We had a lovely walk, though were beset by the standard beach ailments of shell-foot and seaweed toe. Both fatal if left untreated.
We are now enjoying an evening drink outside (at 10pm? In the North West of the UK?! THAT"S how hot it's been!) in the village micro-micro pub known as our back garden. Cheers.
Blip: RM's pick of the photos, apparently she likes groins, though that may not be the correct spelling... extra's - my pick was the three boats all at the same angle with the lovely sun crack in the clouds, and then we saw the MOST ENORMOUS beached jellyfish. We do get a lot of them here but this was beyond imagining size wise - my slider (a size 8!) for scale! What a loss this magnificent beast is.
