Before we were very lost

The Bo came to the office on work experience today, a convoluted journey in as I had to drop my car off to the garage and then RM had to drive us both in.  It's work experience week - luckily for him (and me) other teams have agreed to host him, so our exposure to each other was a trip to a well known bakers at lunch time. It was actually lovely to see him during the day, and he has declared day 1 "more interesting than School" so we will take that as a win.  He also seemed to be quite interested in what the comms team do so that was a double bonus.

Once home (thanks once again to RM doubling back into the City to collect us) he wanted to see his mates post feeding so he headed off to West Kirby (via the newly MOT'd parental taxi) and then myself and RM headed into the woods at the back of our road.  We were looking for ducks at the large lake in the middle of the woods but they were all asleep and decidedly un-quacking.

Instead I ended up with some shots I though I could use to take part in my first challenge for MonoMonday, and thanks to JacZero for hosting this week.  With the theme of stone, you'll need to look harder in this one (or check the thumbnail!) - for the large rock at the edge of what is usually a lovely pool of water below a waterfall... although it is currently a slightly moist puddle at the edge ot a trickle from the stream. Send some of this rain please those of you who have been lucky enough to have some!

After this we got decidedly lost in the woods, having taken efforts to avoid a man we kept bumping into with a slightly over-friendly and not very well trained dog that wanted to play with us with its teeth.  So we stumbled about a lot, fell over some branches, banged our heads on others and generally got lost despite only being about half a mile from home.  I blamed the woozles, they are well known for playing tricks in woods.  Extra - one of my favourite views of the path into the park, or indeed out of it I suppose from Before we were very lost...
