Moss and loss
A night of broken sleep meant I was up quite early and busy doing more washing at a time when I'd quite like to still be lying in. I did a bit of computing and gentle Photoshopping of some newly discovered (to me) Lion Foundryana, and then it was lunchtime.
In expectation of Much Rain tomorrow, Dad came round and together we spent the afternoon scraping most of the moss off my roof. Quite a lot of it was actually sedum so I suppose I had been cultivating my own green roof. But every so often, pieces would break off and fill the gutters. I think we collected two or three buckets' worth. It seems a shame in a way to chuck it all in the brown bin!
After hugs cups of tea Dad went home and I had a long shower because of all the dust from the roof tiles and bits of moss. While I made dinner Mum and Dad returned for more cups of tea and a chat through the evening.
I am very sad to say that my elderly neighbour passed away in the wee hours last night. She will be missed as a long-time resident of the village.
