End of Day
End of heatwave ... for a bit anyway. Meg and I wandered rather slowly down to the seafront, along the prom and back the long way this evening. Still sticky but cooler than last night and a change is definitely on the way.
The day started scorching hot. As I took Meg for a short walk before work, there were hordes of butterflies on a neighbour's buddleia and I spotted one Hummingbird Hawk Moth delicately visiting the flowers. Work was another fairly steady day, a day of mostly cake, cold drinks and ice cream. Easy sales. As yesterday there was a Driver Experience train late afternoon so it was a late finish.
I didn't need the snooze after work tonight, or at least, I resisted the urge. The sunset stroll was a nice, gentle end to the day.
