BRIGHT NATIVES

I saw this flower outside the library, in the
California Native Plant Garden. Can you find the BEE?

When I got home there was an update, in the local newspaper, about the agriculture report. Many think Southern California
is completely urban, but our county
has 93,000 acres (38,000 Hectares)
planted in food crops.
Here are the TOP 10:
1. Strawberries
2. Avocados
3. Nursery Plant Stock
4. Celery
5. Raspberries
6. Lemons: for 70 years, this was the #1
7. Sweet Bell Peppers
8. Blackberries
9. Blueberries
10 Tomatoes
All of these are available at local Farmers’ Markets, as long as there are folks working in the fields. Immigration raids are
having an impact.
