Morning hike

We got up early, trying to beat the heat on a hike we had planned. We hiked from our campsite to the Pacific Crest Trail, then on to another trail leading to a pretty wilderness lake. Good portion of the trail led through a burned out forest. We passed patches of snow, and hordes of mosquitoes. Altogether about a four mile hike. Back at the camp we enjoyed one last swim in the o so warm lake. Now back home.
