Five go

Actually, there were six, with the photographer.

It was misty and moody when we arrived at the beach (see first extra in B&W), but it soon cleared up, and it was one of those rare days in Scotland when the water was properly warm. Up around the mid teens, I would guess (i.e. not hot for everyone, but definitely just swimsuit and socks weather for me - no gloves). We pottered in the water for about half an hour (second extra), and then ended up hanging around in the sunshine so that it was 11.15am before I got home.

As neatwithice has related in her blip, we then had an early lunch (outside of course) and they set off to return home (a two day journey). I'm glad that the A9 on a summer Sunday afternoon did not cause too many problems. I was a bit concerned on that score.

Mr A and I didn't do too much else with the rest of the day, apart from sorting the laundry and watering the plants. Normal domestic chores. We both read our books for quite a long time both outside and inside, and we had supper outside. I felt completely relaxed in my happy place on what turned out to be another beautiful day.
