Strasbourg ~ Day 2

I slept a lot better although cough is still pain in the derrière (thought I’d go all French ;-D).

Mr C thought he had set his alarm.  Well, he did but for Friday not Saturday and that meant that we had a much deserved, if quite late, lie in.  So it was up rather pronto to grab breakfast.

We enjoyed an hour leisurely trip on the boat.  Visited the cathedral, a little disappointing inside if I’m honest and also took the petite road train tour (they don’t do bus tours here).  We decided to do the ‘new’ town tour rather than the pretty petite France.  Seeing the European Parliament building among others.

Back to hotel for change and out for dinner.  We finished our evening sitting in the courtyard of the Hôtel playing cards.  

Our last night in Strasbourg before we continue our adventure tomorrow.  We both really enjoyed it and for me it reminded me of city proportions of Bruge.  I’m now going to read up on its history between Germany and France.
