Common Copperback

I'd forgotten that I've photographed a common copperback hoverfly once before. They are easy to identify because of the black 'clouds' on their wings.

I found a wasp spider down the field and thought I'd got a good shot with a perfect stabilimentum but when I looked on screen I'd cut the tip of one of its legs off. Will have to return to try for better.
