A let down.

I got excited at the clouds hoping for rain or a storm but it blew over and I got the rest of the washing dried and then another load dried after lunch. We nipped out to the bargain shops for some bits and then I was just bringing in the last of the dry washing when it started to rain. It didn't last very long though. It got quite windy which cooled it down a good deal outside but it's still pretty hot inside the house.
The first load of washing had things with lot of vegetable oil splashes on them from the disaster yesterday but I had sprayed them last night with oxy spray and left them overnight. When they were washed today they came perfectly clean. My hand is fine, thankfully. The pan went in the bin; it was a small frying pan which has never been balanced properly and had nearly fallen a couple of times - I had bought a replacement ages ago which was just sitting in the cupboard....stupid!
We watched Oppenheimer on Netflix last night - well, most of it, and we'll finish it tonight (it's 3 hours long). We were really looking forward to this and yet we nearly binned it early on as it was weird and difficult to know what era you were in. However, it did pick up but it's nowhere near as good as we expected. I am glad we didn't pay to go to the pictures to see it!
