Monday: Barney

This little boy has been causing us some anxiety today.  He’s been off his food since yesterday, is very lethargic and is also, erm, struggling to…….go.

We took him to the vet this afternoon and he was understandably upset at having his nether regions inspected at length.  He’s been rehydrated and given some anti-nausea medication as well as medication to resolve the….erm……..blockage.

If it doesn’t resolve itself he’ll have to go in for X-rays to see if there is something else amiss and causing a blockage.  Needless to say I’ll keep you posted.

There must be something afoot as this is the first time he’s used the cat bed since we purchased it 8 months ago.  Until now he has just looked at it with disdain.

I would also like you to admire how delicately I have expressed the issue.  I think I should write a Victorian novel.
