Hummingbird Hawk-Moth

Once again, the buddleia is helping me to get a blip. I came home from my mother’s house this afternoon, still blipless, until I spotted two of these fascinating butterflies in the garden. They are moving fast, and it took a lot of point-and-shoot attempts to get two usable pictures.

At my mother’s, I found a few old photo albums, and took three of them home to scan the best pictures for my memory book project. 

One album is full of my baby photos plus doting parents. Before I left, my mother and I looked at some of the photos together, and she loved seeing them. This makes me hopeful that she will enjoy the memory book, too.
