Bastille Day

We had a much needed rest day today. Walked to the plage, which was a grassed area to sit on and we both had a swim in the lake. We had a drink in the bar and then headed back to shower and get ready for supper.

I had booked this restaurant at home , not realising it was about half hour away, although that was no problem.  We took a slow meander up the mountain to reach the very popular restaurant with stunning views over the lake.  The menu was typical ski resort food (although I’ve never been skiing so just presuming lol).  We had a shared meat platter followed by a cheese fondue.  We were lucky enough to be sat on the edge of the balcony to sit in wonder of the view and be entertained by many paragliders going by.  We were glad to be leaving before it got dark for the drive back down the mountain.

Once back at the apartment, I changed shoes and we headed back to the lake for the Bastille fireworks.  It was incredibly busy but a good display was put on.
