Hydro-rangea
Well, they promised heavy rain, and boy did they deliver.
Flowers that looked on their last legs yesterday, look positively vibrant today. It couldn't have been more welcome.
Of course, it did mean I had to go out in the pouring rain. And as I had a rather large package to post* and an umbrella to hold, it meant I had to leave the stick behind.
I walk with a stick because I have balance issues, and I cannot stand for long periods. I actually can walk fine without it- sort of. But I have a tendency if I am not very mindful to overbalance, and when I have to stand still. In a queue for instance, my feet ache in a quite intolerable way. The latter seems to baffle doctors and chiropodists, but I found using a stick and leaning on it fixed the problem, and it also works pretty well for the balance thing too.
I do feel a bit of a fraud knowing that I don't need it to walk, but it is necessary, so I continue.
Anyway, I managed to not fall into any deep holes and with luck the rain stopped just after I posted the package. Meaning I got to use the brolly as a stand-in for my walking stick.
My walking stick, btw, is named Greg. This is because of House MD, the American medical show, starring Brit comedian and actor, Hugh Laurie.
Well, that was a longer ramble than my photowalk was today (which was essentially just the walk home from the post office, via the scenic route.)
More soggy flora in extras.
*I sold my old Canon T50 film camera on eBay. Boxed, in a camera bag. I never used it as I only bought it for the lens, and I have a wonderful Pentax Spotmatic and Mamiya C3 Twin Lens, if I want to take analogue photos.
