Stripey Socks

A pretty grisly morning with wind, rain and general murk, brightening a bit later on. A bit of colour and a ray of light in Ballydehob - it was the socks that caught my eye. Too late for St Swithin though - 40 days of rain to look forward to!  Apparently the closest it ever got to this prediction was in 1924 when 30 of the 40 days after 15th July were wet.  It's all to do with the Gulf Stream apparently.
