Tuesday: The Kings Arms

We’ve stayed quite close to home today, keeping an eye on Barney who still wasn’t right.  He had an appointment for an x-ray this evening to to see if there was something else going on.  Fortunately there doesn’t seem to be a blockage or, as was suggested, a tumour, which is a huge relief.

After some blood tests the vet ventured that he was a bit of a medical enigma.  It does seem, though, that he has pancreatitis which may be causing some of the issues.  So he’s had a bunch of injections and we have tablets and liquids galore to give him.  We’ll see what the next 48 hours bring but hopefully he can avoid a hospital stay.

K and I sat in the waiting room for a long time while he was having blood tests and x-rays so we entertained ourselves by imitating pictures of the dog food packaging.  K was particularly good at urinary care while I excelled at hypoallergenic.

As for the blip, it’s a defunct pub, now a co-op so, as you can see, no connection to my write-up, , other than that it was near the vet’s.  It was either that or another Barney blip.
