The rewards of deadheading

I have some more beautiful flowers on my perennial sweet peas. Not many, but such a lovely sight.
A busy day with Fareshare in the morning and Oxfam in the afternoon. Both nice to be there.
I’m really enjoying listening to audiobooks - and I can ‘read’ so much more, when I’m walking, gardening, doing chores, on the bus. Finished Matt Haig’s the Midnight Library today, which I really enjoyed, and found quite inspiring. A pleasant half an hour in the evening, browsing the digital shelves., choosing my next one. All free, using my library card.
First day of significant rain for weeks. A bit in the morning. Really heavy in the afternoon.  Guess which silly person had no raincoat, just the same clothes I was wearing in the heatwave. Luckily I had my wonky umbrella which kept the worst off:)
