Au Revoir, Cairo!

A relatively early start to the day to make sure we had enough time at the airport to sort out any lamp-packing problems!

A good job that we did as our Heath Robinson packing solution was rejected out of hand! A few nervous moments and negotiations and unpacking and shrink wrapping of the lamp with a cardboard hood eventually passed muster with the head of the check-in operations, and we didn’t have to pay extra. Our airside helper was brilliant and deserved the fistful of dollars he requested. See extra for the new look packaging!

We decided it was not ‘Farewell, Cairo’’ but, definitely, ‘Au Revoir, Cairo!’ As I said the other day, the place is in our blood!
