Flower Week 3 Two Rosemallows...

The Rosemallows growing around our pond are blooming! We're being treated to both red and white versions, both lovely. The red is a Scarlet Rosemallow, Hibiscus coccineus and the white one is Hibiscus coccineus 'Alba'. Both are Florida natives and enjoy and thrive in wetland habitats. They produce copious seeds and spread happily in the right conditions. If you look closely, there's an ant perusing the white flower.   m
