Making scarecrows….

A shortage of staff this morning.
Once the rain eased off headed next door to help wee brother bring in the in calf heifers and do them with fly repellent pour on. Put them into a field next to the steading as they are due to start calving soon. It’s the first proper go on the quad bike since I got my hernia op. Wasn’t brilliant , but needs must.
An afternoon spent power washing the wee New Holland tractor then hitching it onto the bale wrapper. Gave everything a good grease and checked it was all working. Now all we need is a spell of dry weather.
The crows have started attacking the spring barley this morning so took some scarecrows along to the field. Littlemiss and 2 border terrorists came for a hurl as well. Had a shot at some to scare them off but they will be back.
