Waiting
I had planned to swim this morning but fell back asleep, twice, and didn't get up till well after 8.
It was a gloomy morning so I took the unwanted whirlie cover to there PO and bumped into neighbour/friend F on the way back. Got wet as we stood and chatted. Once home scanned dad's album but didn't check the results. That is for another day.
By later morning it has cleared and I went outside to summer prune the weigela. Brown bin goes out tomorrow. It's had a decent 'hair' cut.
Had lunch, the last of the leftovers and did a bit more minor gardening. Should have given the spirea a good prune, but left it. My replacement whirlie cover arrived. Much better and fits.
Made chicken in tomato sauce for dinner and fed the roses, not all as I dint have enough rose feed. Then I sat in the sun and sewed. It was very warm again.
Family eventually got home after 7. I fed the girls while #1 soon and WH went into town to take the car back. Luckily, as it turned out, J's plane was delayed leaving Luton. I was still early of course and sat in the entrance to a field on Gogarstone Rd to kill time. It was a beautiful sunset over the airport. Is seen a young deer in the fields beside Frogs time Rd and there were loads of bunnies on the roundabout into the airport.
After a slight 'where are you?' found J and D and took them home to Roslin. The first of 3 airport runs this week.
It was still lightish as I drove home at 10.30.
