Bee on a blanket flower

There were quite a few bees in the garden when I was watering this morning. I have to remember to take the camera out with me to get some better photos. This and the ones in the extra were taking with the phone.
Extra clockwise from top left: a different bee on a blanket flower; upside down bee on a sweet pea; bee on a petunia; dangling bee leg on a sweet pea.
Our garlic looked ready to harvest, so G pulled it a couple of days ago. Not a good crop, so disappointing. Some kind of bug was eating the cloves, the roots were very shallow, and the skins had barely started to form. Will have to do some investigating. We've always had great crops of garlic. We saved as many of the cloves as we could and I roasted them to freeze. In the past, G's hung as many as 102 bulbs to dry. This year?  Six.
