2025 Tuesday — Headed Home

Getting out of the house today was our priority. I’m not sure how the absence of one small dog can make a place feel so empty, but after saying goodbye to Mitzi yesterday, we are overwhelmed with the emptiness.

The weather here is producing the normal summer Central California Coast gray sky which is contributing to our gloom. So middle day we drove away from the coast and then once we arrived at the main freeway in San Luis Obispo we headed south. We drove as far south as Nipomo. We were just wandering, but also thought we’d look for ukuleles.

Later after making homemade tacos for dinner, I took Chloe for a long walk. I think she is confused and depressed. These are hard days.
