My Life With Luna

Elegant grass and ladybird

Took a detour on the way home from work today and found a little nature reserve that's just yards away from the A14. I didn't realise it was there and you certainly wouldn't know when driving along, but hearing the lorries thundering past whilst walking in a really pretty little reserve seemed unreal. All the walkways are wooden with chicken wire covering it. There are lots of beech trees so will keep this in mind when the leaves start to change colour. I was pushed for time, wanting to get home to cut the grass before the rain that's forecast started, but will go back for a proper walk at a later date. I don't know what this grass is, my wildflower books don't do a section on grasses. It wasn't until I processed this photograph I noticed the ladybird, the first I've seen this year.
