My miniature rockery in the old bird bath……
…,loving the fine misty drizzly rain this morning.
It’s very humid outdoors..
I went up the garden earlier before breakfast and took the photo.
We were having a visit at 9:30am from our lovely chiropodist, Julie, to treat our feet.
They always feel so good afterwards!
We had a good meal out last night with our eclectic group, but it ended up with Stephen taking Raj to A and E at the local hospital. 5 minutes or so away by car. He took him and then came back to join us to eat.
Raj had told us he hadn’t been good all week and the only doctor’s appointment he could get was for July 27th.
He’s registered with a doctor since coming here a little while back from Pakistan. But his symptoms had been affecting him at work, which is a temporary job whilst he is looking for an opening in a branch of Scientific Research. He already has a good degree.
The hospital were brilliant with him.
Gave him all kinds of tests including a chest Xray.
All were negative which was a relief for him.
They think he has irritated his stomach with too much caffeine. No idea how they work that out!
Stephen said he would collect him when he was ready. Well, by midnight he was waiting on his last test result. So we suggested he get an Uber when he was ready and we could reimburse him the fare.
By this time his friend had turned up there earlier to be with him, so he messaged us to say they had looked at Uber and the fare wasn’t.too bad.
When I woke at 6:00am, I saw he had sent a message at 3:00am to say he was home.
It would have been a much later night/early morning if Stephen had gone to get him. (Which he was prepared to do).
Aside from that bit of drama we had a good meal and an enjoyable time.
Both of us are feeling tired today!
Currently I’m sitting on the sofa looking out of the patio window and it is now really raining. It is very humid outside.
The garden and plants are loving it.
Well I’ll stop here as I’ve rambled on enough!
Not long before it will be lunchtime.
