Little Owls

I had a fabulous day with Leading Lines Events at Otterbourne Hides and Studios photographing owls and raptors. We were hosted by the owner, Pete Whieldon, and his DiL Kate who were very knowledgeable both on the birds and photography, along with Emily from LLE. The day was very hot and sunny ... not ideal for photography.  However, Pete made sure that we and the birds were kept mostly in shade and comfortable and advised us on the best settings. I came home with nearly 400 shots (no burst shots needed here it was all static settings) from over 2 2-hour sessions.

The little owls were one of the highlights, and I loved this shot of them sitting in a hole in a tree.  A couple of other shots of a tawny owl and peregrine falcon in extras.
