Seeking Guidance

I could hear a faint chirping whilst working on steps nearby, but couldn't quite place where it came from. The chirping was constant and persistent. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a bird fly to the base of this tree, but as I turned it left just as quickly. It was then the source of the chirping became apparent and I saw the fledgling.

Merlin tells me it's a blue-grey flycatcher and I imagine it fell out of its nest. I had no idea where the nest was, so could not do anything to help. I let it be and hoped the parent would come to its rescue.
