Shiretoko

This is a back blip for yesterday when we arrived in Shiretoko, a town on the peninsular in north east Hokkaido. We're in an atmospheric 1920s-ish style hotel where finally we have a room with plenty of space and a great view of the town and sea from the eighth floor. We were in heaven watching the sun nearing its setting, doing magical and ever changing things to the water. The actual sunset was a cloudy fizzer.

The extra is the view coming in to land. 

Today we will explore the peninsular on what promises to be a wet day. We are well equipped.
