Crane

On another day of solid programming, from my desk I spotted this crane arriving. The driver expertly took a tight turn, avoiding parked cars and, as I'd anticipated, set up just before St James the Less on Broomfield Road. There's a house that's been stripped back to the masonry, and the crane was installing roof trusses. 

When A went for a walk with friends in the early evening, I went out for a quick spin around Penicuik on the bike, returning in time to prepare tea by extending the remains of last night's ratatouille with an onion and some venison mince. I was following the Lancashire vs Yorkshire cricket match, and had given up hope of Lancashire winning, but they turned it around at the end and won comfortably. I'd also given up on England's women, but now it's extra time...
