Scots Pine
Still backblipping!
Another bright, windy day and a trip to the east of the island at Maughold.
There and back walk along the Maughold Brooghs (I think that't the spelling) past these trees. On the way back I'd no sooner said "there should be Peregrines" when a pair appeared. There's a shelter at the Head and we were going to have lunch in it out of the wind but the first extra will show why we didn't.
A visit to the church and churchyard, an important religious site over many centuries with old chapels, varied and interesting graves and memorials and a large collection of stone crosses. The church itself is nice, too.
The second extra is the postbox near the church.
Back via Laxey and tea and cake by the beach.
