Travelling Again

Woke up to rain and that's always a challenge when trying to pack everything up, including items that are now soaked!  However, it was a typical light drizzle and so at least I didn't get too wet in the process.

Driving up to Darlington we stopped in at Denby Pottery to purchase a few items and have lunch before dropping in for a visit with Auntie H.  L had a number of photos she had found at LV's house but didn't know who the characters represented were.  These were old photos from a loooong time ago, and even AH had to think hard.  She then shared her album with photos of L's mum and her sister (AH) from when they were born through to their teenage years.  I think AH appreciated the visit.

Off we drove up to Darlington for a lovely Green Chef chicken meal concoted by our chef host LV.  Then we went for a walk round the park before exiting on a different road and decided to explore down an alley where there was a lovely house and huge garden tucked away.  Suddenly a lady approached us and asked us if we liked the house - it turned out to be hers and she proceeded to show us all round her impressive garden and the additions she has made.  She turned out to be an Australian who had moved to Darlington and loved it so much they stayed.  A very pleasant walk and chat.  See LV's blip for a photo
