Thursday: Cottages

Back down to the vet’s to pick up some electrolytes for Barney and then a trip to ‘Pets At Home’ to pick up some different foods that might tempt him into eating.  He’s spurned the electrolytes, even though the labelling says they’re palatable, but is showing interest in the food so that’s definitely progress.

This evening we had a lovely catch-up with M&B in L.A.  M was my American colleague in Belize and is now based back in the U.S.  She was a political appointee, appointed by the Biden administration, so has now left government service.  It was lovely to catch up and chat how much we are both enjoying life post-Belize.  We didn’t dwell too much on politics as it just led to confused head-shaking. 

Then over to the pub for an evening with Rocknerd (and friends) to mark his birthday last Tuesday.  He doesn’t look a year older!
