What I've Done

By JohnGravett

From Bowfell

It's a big mountain, so please look as LARGE as you can!

Looking down towards the three tarns, with Crinkle Crags behind.

Set ourselves a big one today. The car park at the Old Dungeon Gill was full, so we drove back along the Langdale valley to the New Dungeon Gill. Walked along the valley to the band, up Bowfell, onto Esk Pike, over to Allen Crags and returned over Rosset Pike. By the time we'd got back to the car we'd covered over 15 miles and well over 30,000 steps!

An absolutely fabulous day (though hot)! with interesting cloud cover and some really interesting lighting, rather than the flat light that midday sun in the summer can give.

Going to be a bit stiff tomorrow!
