Flower Friday ...

... Rulers.

Today was absolutely GORGEOUS!  Deserving of all caps gorgeous!  We had the perfect temps and really low humidity.  

The perfect day to welcome our first monarch butterflies from this year's nursery.  I knew we would have at least one emerge today but I was pleasantly surprised when both a female (on top) and a male (bottom) emerged this morning.  We waited until just before lunch to release them into the sunshine.  I released the male in the memory of Ducky who crossed the rainbow bridge in June.  And I released the female in memory of all the Texas flood causalities.  The next female I release is reserved for my Sister and BIL's dog, Sali, who recently passed. But if you want one released for a lost loved one please let me know.  We have several more chrysalids and caterpillars in our nursery.
