Between fen and mountains

Shorn sheep

I did a quick shop at the market before going over to the church to do some printing. The two sheep that are often in the neighbouring field have been shorn. Given the recent heat, they must feel a lot more comfortable. We have had a small respite this morning with rain and a slight drop in temperature but this afternoon it has become quite muggy. I helped our neighbours dispose of a lot of clippings and then did some more weeding in our courtyard. I noticed my lettuces are being eaten by insects of some sort. There are small holes in the leaves and the lettuces are not progressing well. I am not sure what the solution is. I don’t want to use any chemicals on them.

I believe I have reached a new milestone. I never thought I would have carried on so long. Blipping has become quite a routine now although inspiration is frequently lacking and I am sure I have repeated some subjects. I reassure myself in thinking that Monet painted his ponds innumerable times so I am allowed the odd repeat! As ever, many thanks to all those who keep this excellent platform running.
