Drought

A ten mile circular walk from home this morning. Although we walked under thick clouds no rain fell and it was very humid. My blip is from near the top of Stowe Hill looking north-east towards the Long Mynd. The foreground looks like stubble but its actually dead grass. The drought is very bad up here. In one section we came across corpses of lambs and ewes every twenty or thirty metres. When we descended through woodland the deciduous trees were turning yellow and losing their leaves. Down in the valley we could see that the river Teme has stopped flowing.
