The Cricket Pitch

It may be flat but the rest of the ground ............

We headed off on our walk quite early as it was looking slightly ominous.
I took a pair of secateurs with me.
I was so hacked off with the Councils lack of husbandry I decided to do something about it myself and whenever I came across something that was encroaching too far into or over the path it got cut off and left where it fell.
I did a lot of catching up with SWMBO.
We stopped off at Bags' to have a catch-up. The cygnet showed off some slight-of-hand cards tricks. He is quite good.
When we left it started raining (not to heavily I am glad to say) but it didn't stop me attacking the greenery that was attacking me.
While I was taking off anything below 7' (I am 6' 4' so it isn't full reach) on a couple of oaks a couple out walking their dog passed and started thanking me very enthusiastically - so it obviously isn't just me that is p*issed off with it.

There was some time spent at the lathe and there was a video call with No.1 son-- and there have been some pictures taken ... some flowers from the walk, the neighbours house which is gradually being taken over with greenery .... and a snail that had climbed up the Wisteria, across the pergola and down a wispy length of the wisteria - until it reached the end and realised it was over 7' above the ground and started climbing back up the frond. The frog managed to get away into the undergrowth before I could get a shot.
