Last day on the island
Backblip
Another warmer day with not much wind but not too much exercise as a big day at the weekend.
The highest waterfall on the island (extra) wasn't far from where we were staying so we parked near the top and followed the steep, narrow valley down to the sea before returning with a short stretch on the old railway line.
Then a drive to Ramsey and a visit to the independent bookshop where some books were bought and a short loop over the harbour bridge.
Next stop Laxey for the Snaefell tramway - yes, we got a train up the mountain! There hadn't been many suitable days for going up on foot and having been to the most N,S,E&W points we had to go to the highest!
It's a lovely 30 min journey up and we had long enough at the top to have a wee wander, visit the actual top and have tea and cream scone before getting the tram down again.
Back over the hill road (in the pic) and a laze around in the sun at the campsite before getting our meal.
Much of the packing was done before bed ready for an early start.
