Bluenose cruise

A long day, but it was worth it.
Blue sky and calm waters greeted us in Lunenburg this morning. The Bluenose is a sail boat, but it also has a motor. The crew put the sails up because that is part of the whole experience going on the Bluenose. We sailed along the coast towards Blue Rocks, then turned and came back to Lunenburg past The Ovens.
I did catch a glimpse of a couple of porpoises off the opposite side of the boat from where I was sitting. Apparently there was a school of mackerel that was seen too.
One of the other ones that went both yesterday and today was one that I talked to quite a bit last summer, but haven't seen her since then. So it was nice to catch up with her.
Some of them went for lunch after the cruise, but I had been invited to a family get together with some of my cousins this afternoon. That was on the other side of the province, but I was able to go cross country.
Almost 4 hours of driving, over 300 km today. And I didn't sleep well last night, and had to leave my place at 7 am today. I am going to bed early tonight.
