Shadow Play

I think we’ve been pretty lucky with the weather today - mostly cloudy but with occasional sunshine. It’s only later on we have the rain, and then it’s Far from continuous. 

G manages to spend much of the day in the garden, while I work on finances and ironing, before settling down to read. I must admit I’m loving the fact that I’ve fallen in love with reading again having gone through a phase when I’ve struggled to really engage. Having completed Long Island, I’ve now started Babel - a hefty hardback Solveig gave me some time ago and I’ve just put off starting it.so far, only two chapters in, I’m loving it. 

Out in the garden, butterflies are fewer than of late - they definitely prefer the constant sunshine. Still, a comma lands on the ivy and stays for a while. I rather like its shadow on the leaf.
