Best day

Today No.2 was best man to Matt, a friend who he first met aged 4.  We were invited too which was lovely.  I was furiously checking the weather all morning and it poured until 1.00 when we arrived at the church, but had stopped by the time the service had finished.  The rest of the afternoon was warm, sunny and dry.

It was a wonderful occasion and we met lots of friendly people.  Good food, chat and wine and dancing until 12.15 then a walk home, fortunately only half a mile from where we live.

We had opted to sleep in the tent (see yesterday's entry) and it was cosy and comfortable and the rain pattering on the roof was soporific (probably also to do with the amount of alcohol consumed).

The picture is No.2 and Hannah with Matt's baby - Freddie - the baby with the squishiest cheeks - so chilled and cool all day - no tears in the church and relaxed and contented the rest of the time.  here's hoping if S&H ever have children they can have one just like Freddie.

Long, tiring enjoyable day done.
