Ramblings and Mutterings

Late!

I didn't have the best night's sleep.

I decided to walk to work from Bond Street. A good hours walk across London.

When I got to the office I thought they'd changed the locks on me as it took me a while to get in. Lol!

There was no one in all day. It meant zero motivation.

I was supposed to have a 121 with the clown, but what was the point considering I'm going. Hopefully a bit of a taste of his own medicine.

I caught up with quite a few of my team to see how they are. They are all still reeling.

Had a catch up with our head of HR for an informal chat about this process. My final outcome consultation will now be on Tuesday and the clown wants me to do a handover, which probably means I've got three weeks left. I won't do a handover for him, but I was never going to leave my team in the lurch. The head of HR asked me if I was going to be ok, I said yeah don't worry I'm not going to chin him, but I will be saying quite a few things.

Caught up with my young padawan and we are planning to meet up in London a few times over the next few weeks while I am still here.

I walked back across London in the evening. It was sweltering.

I had a cup of tea in the hotel before going across to the Royal Albert Hall for the first night of the proms. I got there just before 7pm and I was worried as it was so quiet. I looked at my ticket and sure enough the start was at 6:45pm, which meant I had to wait until the interval to get in. I wasn't the only one caught out, there were loads, but luckily we were able to watch it in the foyer. When I got in the lady I was sat next to was from Barry and she said the whole row was empty in the first half. It doesn't seem to have been great planning.

The prom was over by 9pm which was early, so I made it back in time to watch some footie.

Today I am thankful for:

1. Catching up and planning with my young padawan
2. Two good walks across London
3. A good evening at the Proms, even if I missed the first half
