Race to the Finish

Today Bideford held their Water Festival. One of the highlights is the Cardboard Boat Race. It is great fun, certainly for the spectators! We did get rained on this afternoon, but that didn't seem the enthusiasm of both the spectators or the participants of the Cardboard Boat Race. 

Sue had collected me this morning, and we picked Linda up on route. Once we had parked the car, coffee was on the cards before picking our spot on the quay side before the start of the fun. It was a shame about the rain, but we were more or less prepared. After the main event we retired to a cafe for refreshments, then a Hockings ice cream (Sue refrained), before heading home. A most enjoyable day despite the rain :-)
