Rustling in the Bushes

We've had a quiet day to compensate for yesterday.  It has been showery up till late afternoon so we had a leisurely get up and then explored Lochinver.  We weren't successful in finding an open cafe with space so returned to our 'Coastguard Station' for tea and toasted teacakes.
Afterwards we walked five minutes along the road to Highland Stoneware.  Those of you who have dropped by my journal over the years will know that JeanneB53 and I are big fans of their pottery.  We needed a replacement  lid for Becky's teapot and Tony wanted a new mug.  We had a lovely chat with the woman in the shop and I asked the artist who was painting a piece, if I could take her photo.  She was saying that she had to hold her breath when making strokes so couldn't talk and work at the same time.  It amazes me that the pre-fired glazes are so different from the post firing colours so to reproduce the Highland land and seascapes takes a great deal of skill.

When the sun appeared finally, I took my camera to try and reach the shoreline to capture Suilven in a brighter sky with its receding cloud cover.  I couldn't reach the shore as there was a verdant marsh below and I couldn't see a safe way down from the hill I was standing on.  As I lined up for the distant view across Loch Inver, I heard a rustling in the bushes, and then this face popped out.
