Dragon boating

Every year there is a dragon boating event on the river opposite us. I watched with a friend for an hour and the standard was so variable. Some teams practice regularly others juts get together on the day. The good thing is they all raise money for a chosen charity. About 50 boats( crews)  take part race three times and then those with the fastest times go forward to the next rounds…quarter finals etc I think.
I have a friend who was in one of the boats and they came just outside the top times but were pleased with their result.

A little rain overnight but sunny for most of the day.

Feeling tired today so did some sorting out of books and papers. A bag ready for the charity shop tomorrow.

Popped over to my daughters for a barbecue late afternoon and now for some TV.
