A 1920/30’s wedding?

This is a photograph I found among some I was sorting today. My mother had helpfully written on it . It is of a family , surname Penny, who lived in the farmhouse where my parents lived after them. It is not of good quality as I guess photography outdoors was not widespread then. The dresses look amazing so I think they must have been quite well off farmers! I think the groom must be the one to the left of the bride? The photo was taken on the lawn which we had made into a grass tennis court when I was growing up.
I used the Photomyne app  to scan it and then also coloured it…see extra. I have not used that facility before!

Today I went to Pilates and coffee after with the usual group. Then sorted the house ready for all three grandchildren to stay tomorrow night, plus one parent. Also needed to go shopping with quite a big list…..I think I could have got everything in Waitrose but decided not to so ended up having to go to Tesco, Sainsburys and M and S to get everything! I have discovered the price of bananas  has rocketed recently..27p  each in M and S and Sainsburys ( they used to be 16p a couple of months ago) but much cheaper in Tesco! 

Now to do the ironing!
