Afternoon Tea Party

The Glyndyfrdwy WI severed ties with the WI a few months ago. Which made it, in my opinion, a much more exciting group to join, a group of rebels, renamed Genod Glyndyfrdwy.

So today was the Afternoon Tea party being hosted by one of the members. The committee with helpers provided the food, sandwiches and cake, nibbles and Pimm's plus non alcoholic drinks. 

The weather forecast was not good. Thundery showers! But after an initial quick shower, the rain and thunder stayed away and we had a brilliant time.

We were also asked to wear a hat that we had either made, or bought or embellished. Everyone rose to the occasion. Mine was a cloche hat I bought some years ago and I stitched my beaded wedding tiara to the brim. I love this photo taken of myself, Bronwen and Haf, we blend into the greenery and reminds me of the marketing photos for the film "Tea with Mussolini" :)
