Acanthus 2025

Home again and our acanthus (blipped) is currently the star of our back garden.

We stopped at IKEA on the way back to Edinburgh after our weekend with Bella and David. There we bought eight jars of our favourite dill sauce, and a £5 bathmat. We also looked at bathroom cabinets and lighting. We're starting to scope out bits and pieces for the upgrade of our en suite bathroom scheduled (notionally) for the autumn.

We are going to be very busy with guests over the next four weeks. Many of them will be staying overnight with us for at least a couple of days. Currently the list reads:

I spent much of this afternoon planning for their visits - checking exact arrival and departure times, devising menus, scheduling activities etc.

Also today we watched the first of the new series of University challenge from last Monday, and resumed our Game of thrones marathon (series 7, episode 3).

Exercise today: small amount of walking.
