Contemplating

…..the mess he’s just made?

We had more rain early this morning, then a blustery morning. The sun appeared this afternoon whilst I was at the allotment. I thought I’d take the opportunity of damp soil and cooler weather to plant out some young chard plants and leeks. I also sowed some carrot and parsnip seeds (I’m not sure if it’s too late for this).

So I remember - I picked the first of the French beans, the first of the raspberries, and the first of this year’s cucumbers at the allotment (I’ve already had a few from the raised bed in the garden). I also picked blueberries, blackberries, courgettes, beetroot and potatoes. And I pulled up lots of bindweed - which is thriving!
